How your age is calculated
The calculator counts complete years first, then complete months, and finally the remaining days, using the real length of each calendar month, so leap years and months of different lengths are handled correctly.
Example: for someone born on 15 March 1990, their age on 27 October 2026 is 36 years, 7 months and 12 days. Adding 36 years gives 15 March 2026, adding 7 more months gives 15 October 2026, and 12 days remain until 27 October.

It counts the full years between the two dates first, then the full months that remain, then the leftover days, using the real length of each calendar month.
Does the age calculator handle leap years?
Yes. Leap days are included in the total number of days. For a 29 February birthday, the next birthday in a non-leap year is shown as 28 February.
Can I calculate age on a past or future date?
Yes. Change the "Age on this date" field to any date after the date of birth, for example to check eligibility on a deadline.
